News update
Much has happened for us here at Chiltern Thrust Bore over the past few months.
Here are just a few of the high points.
2009
- A drainage solution at Dorchester prison

- The Bramley to Basingstoke Powertrack (for Skanska McNicholas & National Grid) under a motley collection of watercourses using 33x44 HDD Rig installing 12x200mm + 8x140mm Cable Ducts
- 12 x 400mm Cable Duct crossings for the Holford Brine Main (Murphys) under roads, water courses and a mix of existing pipelines using D80x100 HDD Rig

- We’ve been back to the Burbo Bank Wind Farm in the Mersey Estuary to take the cables from the shore line drilling beneath road and rail crossings back to the sub station. Then finally grouting the original outfallduct with geo thermal grout, 18 months after installation.

- The drainage job at Rugby railway station (for Balfour Beatty) became more of an archaealogical expedition than a civil engineering experience!
- And more M25 work with Costains as well as a Thames Water project over in Darenth
So, 2009 has been good to Chiltern Thrust Bore and we expect to see more of the same in 2010.
Not surprisingly we are constantly on the lookout for quality, experienced people to join our team. Let us know if you’re interested.
